At The Megaro Collection, we are committed to operating responsibly and creating a positive environmental and social impact wherever we do business. Sustainability is an integral part of how we manage our hotels, restaurants, and event spaces, guiding the decisions we make every day as we strive to reduce our environmental footprint and contribute positively to our community.
We work closely with trusted partners and suppliers to ensure our operations reflect our commitment to responsible hospitality. Through our partnership with First Mile, our waste management provider, we have achieved Gold Recycler accreditation, recognising our strong performance in waste reduction and recycling. In 2025, our efforts resulted in an 88% recycling rate, 101.2 tonnes of CO₂ emissions avoided, 17.5 tonnes of waste diverted from landfill, and 9,640 kW of energy generated through responsible recycling processes.
Our approach to sustainability extends across all areas of the business. We continuously review our operations to reduce waste and improve efficiency, encouraging collaboration between departments to maximise the use of resources and move as close as possible towards zero waste practices.
Within our kitchens, our chefs are guided by seasonality and responsible sourcing, ensuring ingredients are used thoughtfully and creatively while minimising food waste. Across the organisation, we are also mindful of the products and suppliers we work with, prioritising environmentally responsible chemicals and cleaning solutions that support both operational excellence and environmental protection.
We also operate with a digital-first mindset, significantly reducing the need for printed materials across our hotels, restaurants, and events operations. From internal communication to guest services and event planning, digital solutions help us reduce paper waste while improving efficiency and service delivery.
