Arriving at The Gyle near King’s Cross

The Gyle is at 16–18 Argyle Square, London WC1H 8AS, a four-minute walk from both King’s Cross station and St. Pancras International. It’s part of The Megaro Collection, alongside The Megaro and The California in the same neighbourhood.

Argyle Square is a Georgian garden square set back from the main roads around King’s Cross – quieter and more residential than most of what surrounds it. That’s part of what makes The Gyle a good base. It also means the hotel takes a little more finding than a property on the main drag, so the directions below are worth having before you travel.

Finding the hotel

From King’s Cross or St. Pancras, exit onto Euston Road and head east along the main road away from the stations. Argyle Street turns off Euston Road on the left – take it, and follow it until you reach Argyle Square. The Gyle occupies three Victorian townhouses at numbers 16–18 on the square. The entrance is on the square itself rather than a main road, so look for the garden square rather than a hotel sign on a busy street.

Arriving by train or Eurostar

King’s Cross station and St. Pancras International are both a four-minute walk from the hotel. Eurostar passengers exiting St. Pancras will find Argyle Square reachable by heading east along Euston Road towards Argyle Street. Domestic rail arrivals into King’s Cross exit onto the station forecourt and follow the same route.

Arriving by Tube

King’s Cross St. Pancras Underground station serves six lines: the Circle, Hammersmith and City, Jubilee, Metropolitan, Northern and Victoria. All exits bring you out in the area of the two mainline stations. From any of the standard exits, Argyle Square is a short walk east along Euston Road and then left into Argyle Street. The square is signposted on the street but it’s worth having the postcode to hand.

Arriving from the airports

From Heathrow, the Piccadilly line runs direct to King’s Cross St. Pancras in around 57 minutes by public transport. From Gatwick, the Thameslink service to St. Pancras International takes around 44 minutes. Both routes leave you at or adjacent to the hotel without any cross-city transfer.

For guests arriving by taxi or ride-hailing app, the address is 16–18 Argyle Square, WC1H 8AS. Ask for Argyle Square rather than Argyle Street – they’re different roads and the square is where the hotel entrance sits.

Arriving by car

Argyle Square is accessible from Euston Road via Argyle Street. There is no on-site parking at The Gyle. The area falls within the Congestion Charge zone and the Ultra Low Emission Zone. It’s worth checking both and planning nearby parking in advance if you’re driving.

On arrival

The Gyle’s reception is in the main townhouse and the team will check you in from there. If you’ve booked a Studio Residence rather than a main-house room, check in at reception first and the team will get you set up with keys for the Residence, which is a short walk from the main building on Argyle Square.
The Lounge is accessible from reception – a natural first stop after a journey before heading to your room or out into the city.
